“Vista Park” Housing Complex, Sofia, Bulgaria
The Vista Park complex is located at the foothills of Vitosha Mountain, in the Kambanite area. It consists of eight three-storey houses, each set within its own private garden.
The client’s brief required the design to combine the advantages of an individual house with those of multi-family housing. Most of the apartments are arranged on several levels and have their own gardens and private entrances.
With the aim of preserving the existing landscape as much as possible, vehicular access is limited to the perimeter of the site. This approach provides a level of residential comfort close to that of a single-family house in a natural setting.
