ABOUT

International Expertise. Local Commitment. Three Decades of Delivery.

Noble Associates Bulgaria is an architecture and design consultancy specialising in industrial, logistics, and commercial buildings. Founded in 1995 with roots in London’s architectural tradition, we bring international methodology and rigorous standards to every project — from feasibility through to handover.

Our Story

From London to Sofia — and Beyond

Established in 1995.
NAB was established in 1995 as the Bulgarian branch of Noble Associates London, at a time when Bulgaria’s built environment was undergoing rapid transformation. The studio’s founder and Managing Director, Milen Staykov, trained at Kingston University and the University of Westminster under the professorship of David Green, and spent more than seven years practising as an architect and interior designer in London before returning to Bulgaria in 2002.

That combination — British design discipline brought to a fast-developing market — defined NAB’s identity from the start. Our first major project, the refurbishment of TZUM Department Store in 1997, was the first modern shopping centre in post-communist Bulgaria: 29,000 sq.m. that signalled a new era for retail architecture in the country.

Since then, we have grown from a branch office into an independent, full-service studio with a portfolio spanning 10+ countries and some of the most demanding multinational clients in the region.

How We Work

Operational Understanding

Not just architectural design.
We don’t design buildings in isolation from how they will be used. Whether it’s a logistics centre processing thousands of shipments per day or a corporate headquarters serving a global brand, our design process starts with the operation — and works outward from there.

International Standards

Local knowledge.
Having delivered projects across Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, the Netherlands, Spain, Croatia, Ireland, and the UK, we understand what it takes to navigate different regulatory environments, construction cultures, and procurement systems — while maintaining consistent design quality.

One Team

Full lifecycle.
From research and feasibility through building design, tender management, construction supervision, and as-built documentation — our clients work with one integrated team. This reduces coordination risk and ensures that design intent is protected throughout the entire process.
